My Story

I wanted to be a healer from the time I was young.

In pursuit of that dream, I apprenticed with some the most powerful teachers in the world.  I wanted to be the kind of healer who could cure cancer, but as much as I tried, I never could get even close.  After years of study, I was met with great frustration and failure.  But one day, sitting in meditation in a zen temple in Northern California, I saw why I would never be that kind of healer.  My life purpose is to love, and my healing gift is to help other people know love. At the time, I was working with a young man who was terminally ill. We would meet together weekly. I watched, helplessly, as his body succumbed to an inevitable end. I wished at the beginning that I held the power in my hands to cure him; he was only twenty-eight years old. But I didn’t.

What I did have was love. In each session, we walked together closer to the end of his body, and closer to love. He became my teacher. He showed me that true healing does not depend on the body being well.  Healing is only love; love being the highest and final expression of all we can possibly experience and know. At our last session together, I looked at the mail stacked on his front hall table that he would never open, the boxes of Ensure that would never be drunk, and saw how little all of it mattered. The only thing that mattered was the love coursing through him like an immortal river in spring. I let his hand go, and a few days later he walked ahead of me and onward towards his death. The healing we had shared was undeniably clear. It was not what I wanted, or had prayed for. It was better. It was love.

It took me many more years to bring that same power of love to money.

After a decade working as a healer, I shifted careers to become an investment manager. It was extraordinarily difficult to make this shift, but I knew that there existed a need to bring consciousness to capital, so I made the change, led by my intuition and enough spunk to work my way to managing a billion in assets. Before I could possibly teach anyone else to connect deep awareness to money, I had to master many lessons in my own life first. My mistakes, my missteps became a master syllabus, teachings that were not in the curriculum of any financial charter, but in the pages of my own heart.

This is my life’s work, and it is my joy to share it freely with you here.
